Is there a jet above the bolt??? If there is then you will need to be careful trying to retread/repair it or you will block the fuel flow to the jet above.
The simplest would be to find a good carb and replace yours. I have found some metric carburetor bolts that are slightly larger than the English ones. You have to re-tap the bottom of the hole for the metric bolt.
