I had mesh repair of inguinal hernia about 15 yrs ago at age 35. Used conventional "cut open" not arthroscopic surgery. Dr said something like 10% failure for mesh and 30% without? I had slight pain and discomfort for at least 3 yrs on that side. And some areas of the skin are kinda numbish when pressed. I have to be real careful of pressure on a specific spot when doing certain "intimate activities".
