FRANKINFLORIDA has it ALMOST figured out, "cept he"s a little over dramatic with his "vibrating at idle" theory.
Actually, one side of the accelerator pump diaphragm in the YFA is exposed to manifold vacuum, and, in addition to being the accelerator pump, it operates the metering rod, in effect the power valve.
The diaphragm gets to leaking, providing a path from the bottom of the float bowl to the intake manifold, which, needless to say causes wasted gasoline, rough idle, and flooding.
This is a known COMMON problem for as long as the YFA has been on the market.
For this illustration, the gasoline is GREEN, and it IS staying on the float bowl side of the diaphragm!
