I have a Vanguard 14hp twin cylinder overhead valve engine. It's not charging the battery. Can any one tell me what voltage I should have coming out of the 2 stator legs? I have now a little over 6 volts on the one leg to ground and a little over 3 volts on the other leg to ground. Is this normal? I recently had this engine out and had the flywheel off and replaced the front and rear crankshaft seals. The stator was covered with grass and oil. I took it to a car wash and sprayed it off. I've only run it 4hrs since then. It was charging before I washed it. Model #294447. thanks for any info. John B.
