What are they gaining by your company installing all of the electronics on the motor??? I usually am going the other way here.
I have several vehicles that I have removed and replaced much of the electronics on. The latest is a Dodge diesel truck that had the electronic controlled fuel pump on it. The electronic fuel pumps where know to have issues. I found a kit to install the older style mechanical pump that lasted much longer.
Got several early throttle body injection gas engines with conventional carburetors on them. Left the electronic ignitions as they seem to not cause much trouble but the early fuel injections systems where a nightmare when they get older.
The next one will be the oldest son's 2010 Doge diesel pickup. Just as soon as his warranty is totally up the EGR valve and exhaust filter are going Bye Bye.
