My wife is pretty easy going and the best wife any man would want and i don't need permission like some of the other posters seem to to use an appliance for what it was intended and that includes washing coveralls and shop rags that are really dirty.
A range can be and is used to cook food or heat up a part or check a thermostat.
A dishwasher washes certain parts just the same as dishes.
And the kitchen table doubles as a workbench if need be.
I used to bring newborn calves on cold winter days into the kitchen/living room to dry off and warm up.My wife would dig right in with towels and such to get the job done. :D
We have a farm you know and thank the Lord my wife is not a stuck up city lady pulling up her nose for anything but parfume.
