If the chloride is in the tire and above the top of the rim The rim will not rust unless air gets to the rim. Any place air can get to it it will rust like by leaking valve stems If you use tubes in your tires and a tube leaks The rim will rust before you know it has a leak. Our 8960 JD had fluid put in it in 1989 without tubes and it has wore out 3 sets of tires. and the rims were not rusty yet 2 years ago.
