PC/ED stands for powertrain control electronic diagnosis. Basically what that means is its another book full of flow charts, or as theyre called in the PC/ED, pinpoint tests. The service manuals you purchased tell you how to replace the failed part, the PC/ED gives you step by step diagnosis to condemn the failed part. They are full of information and tests that make diagnosis easy, but can also lead you on a so called "rabbit trail". i had my fun with them during my 7 years at a Ford dealership.
