couple comments. 1. no 806D ever came with a cable shutoff. it works like JDseller said. 2. the 656 used the D282 engine with roosamaster pump. again, no cable.
3. RE: shutoff solenoid. the early 706 used the same D282 which should be mechanical linkage to shut off. I bought one that someone had at one point set up with murphy switches for running an irrigation pump. they had been removed when i got to it, but the injection pump had been replaced with a solenoid operated shutoff to work with that system. the solenoid was bad, so i removed it, and now the tractor doesn't like to shut off. either stall it or rev it up and quickly put the throttle in the shutoff position and it will usually kill. if the injection pump has been changed to a solenoid shutoff there should be two little studs with nuts for electrical connections right in the middle of the top cover.
