Just got back from town. Computer code showed a bad MAP sensor. Got one coming at 4:30. The guy read it and called a diesel mechanic and he agreed the sensor should fix it. The mechanic unplugged it showing me how to put it on and since he plugged it back up, it has been running great. Still gonna put one on this evening. Those guys in Greenville are very good. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
