It should have the big U shaped bracket that goes from the mounting on the left axle housing pointing straight out the back of the tractor, making a bend across the back of the tractor, and then bends again and hooks on the right axle housing. This is the piece that the drawbar slide left and right on. I would rip the home made three point off and put on the correct draw bar myself. Here is a picture of one I found on the internet.
