I live on the N ST Vrain river west of lyons and it is still above flood stage. My wife and I were evacuated today by helicopter. Our house is fine but the state hwy 36 is damaged and washed away. our county road is still under 6ft of water no way in or out. There calling it the 1000 year flood. fema came knocking on our door and gave us 20 minutes, the national guard,fema ,boulder county sheriff all were top notch. it looks like we will be out for a few months. The water is heading east and flooding everything in its path.
