Its more of the Bilstiens than anything. You an get a 4X4 badged truck with skid plates, but not the Bilsteins, and 4X4 with Bilsteins and not skid plates. At least thats what Ive seen and have been told by the dealer here. My 08 was badged 4X4, but had skid plates and I think Rancheros from the factory.My 98 was badged Z71 and had both Bilsteins and skid plates, and my 13 has both (Z71). (Of course theres different gear options for both)
