Bottom line is that the manufacturers have loaded the vehicles up with so many "bells and whistles" to try to "one-up" each other that they are troublesome and USELESS... Stop and THINK... WHO NEEDS a radio that isn't simply electrically disconnected from the battery unless the key is in the "ON" or "ACC" position, and is there ANY reason for the manufacturer to set them up otherwise?
Going beyond that, WHO needs the delayed off/theater lighting dome lights?
A little while ago, I came home and parked out front. As I was walking to the house, I looked back and the dome light was still on. So I stand there like an idiot and wait and wonder if it will go off, or if the door didn't close completely and the battery will be dead in the morning.
Finally, I take a couple of steps back towards the car, only to see it go off.
WHO needs that crap... in the old days, you had either left the dome light turned on or the door wasn't shut tight, NOW, due to the manufacturer's infinite wisdom, it is a waiting game with the 'puter to see if it turns off!
