I've lived with that for about 8 years now. My mower is 1000rpm, everything else 540. My main tractor is a 4010 John Deere. Luckily, changing pto's is simply removal of four bolts and sticking the other shaft in. I always thought it would be nice to have both shafts available like with (some of)the Internationals. Never in my life have I seen a small square baler with 1000 rpm. I finally (after many years) was able to purchase another tractor that is solely dedicated to the baler. 4010 stays on the mower.
