The 3 joint model is technically the equi-angle version of the driveline. There isn't a way in the 2 joint model to get the hitch pivot point out to half way between the yokes.
We've got a 336 and 348 with the 3 joint. The 336 is an early one and getting pretty worn and rattles due to slop. Our 348 is only at about 100,000 bales and is still nice and tight.
The neighbours NH has the 2 joint driveline, very cheap to maintain or replace but hate using it baling while turning tight and I think the manual even warns against it.
