Intel is currently building the second huge fab building at it's Ronler Acres campus in Hillsboro, Oregon. In 2010 they started a 1.1 million square foot research and development lab and announced a year ago they plan to add nearly 3.6 million square feet to the Ronler Acres campus. I drive by it a couple times a day and there must be 8 to 10 tower cranes on site. They also noted that in Santa Clara they plan an adjacent three story 480,000 s.f. manufacturing support building.
