I don't know how many of you remember reading a humorous story in Farm Journal a few decades back. I think the title was "How the Bigs's Harvested 200 acres in a day" or something like that. Fiction of course,but it went in to a lot of humorous detail about just how they pulled it off.
I did a search for it and couldn't come up with it.
They had 3 generations working though. The youngest son and his wife wanted to quit early to go to a college football game,Grandpa backed over a fence post and ruined a truck tire,just endless reasons why it shouldn't have happened,but they did it somehow.
