My wife has a 2013 Impreza. 35000 or so miles on it, been looking for an issue to take it in for warranty work, but can't find any. It is the best driving car I have ever driven when the roads are snow covered. She drives into the snow belt for work, and this car fits the niche well as a commuter. The service checklist isn't that different from the Honda it replaced except the Sub has a couple differentials that need checked.
Don't know about the 2010, but the 12-13 are Japanese built.
