So I picked up a snow plow from a neighbor to rig up with a quick tach to put on the new tractor. The price was right on the plow, but it's missing a few things. No A frame or cylinders. So I am going to try to fab one up.
Now, I am about as handy with a welder as pocket is to a shirt - if the pocket has a hole in it! But, I want to learn so I am going to give this a try. I have some 1.25" pipe that I thought I could use. Figured that with a couple of pieces of flat steel and maybe an implement cylinder could get me a decent plow for no more money than the cost of a quick tach plate.
Any ideas on the dimensions of the A frame? Mainly looking for the length as the width can be whatever I want it to be.
Oh, and for those who remember my question about the value of an Oliver 1655...my dad made the deal last week to trade it in for a NH TD5050. So far, we're pretty darn happy with the new tractor. And that will be the plowing tractor when I get this plow rigged up.
