They don't sell for much in my area, regardless of condition. I've always felt some of these vintage garden tractors ought to bring more, but in general, they do not. If your's is all original, looks like near new, and runs good with all the attachments - I'd would not be surprised to see it sell for $500 or less at local auction.
A friend of mine had his father's Waterbury two wheeler with all attachments in excellent original equipment. Never left outside and he had the manuals and original purchase invoice. He brought it to the big antique tractor auction nearby at McFaddens in Sharon Springs, NY. It sold for $250.
If it was mine and I was thinking of selling - I'd try Ebay and/or Craigslist, put a reserve and run it for a few days. If no interest, pull it and it will only cost a few bucks.
When the economy was good - the only garden tractors bringing good prices were the rare and exceptional ones except in special circumstances. Now - with our dismal economy falsely supported by Feds making fake digital money? Even worse. The Simplicities are great little tractors but also VERY common. Here in NY, the David Bradleys and Simplicities (or Montgomerty Wards) are all over the place.
