I was changing oil in my diff/trans gearbox for the first time on my H and I went in with a magnet and retrieved a broken roller bearing out of the differential drain hole. I also found 1/2 half of a broken roller bearing out of the forward plug as well. The one out of the main drain plug was both halves of one roller approx. 7/16" in diameter. Any idea where these may be from in there? Also is it possible to see the roller bearings through the top cover or some place as it's a remote chance they could have been left from a previous failure before I bought the tractor, about a year ago. Very doubtful as the gear lube had alot of water in it. Approx. 1/2 gallon possibly more. If I need to replace bearings how to remove parts for access to roller bearings where they are used in the gearbox. I have 3 manuals and none have removal and install just show the diff./trans. disassembled not even the process of disassembly and assembly so any information would be a great help.
