I went corn planter shopping and decided on a Kinze. Big sale in August. Price looked right. Pay up front. You mean I pay you for the corn planter now and you deliver it when? "Sometime around April, you know, spring delivery". Says me: "I see, I'll let you know". Stopped at the John Deere dealer on the way home and asked about corn planters. "Boy, are you in luck. We have a planter sale going on". I thought, "Here we go again". I show them the one I want in the book-same as Kinze as far as I can tell- and they shot back with the price. About $4000 less than Kinze. $1000 down and pay for the rest when it comes in. SOLD. Got the planter the following Feb and couldn't be happier. Parts? They have them except once. It was 4:30 in the afternoon and I had the part @ 9:00 the next morning. I've become a John Deere fan. They're there when you need them. At 10:30 one Sunday night in Oct we needed a straw walker for a JD 9500 combine. Called them and someone answered right away. They offered either new or used. Had a truck and 2 service guys out @ 8:00 the next morning and we were combining again at noon which was when we would have started anyway due to moisture. As long as they keep that up, I'll not be complaining.
