There's some town names I haven't seen in a while- Sturgis, Adrian, Jonesville, Charlotte, Okemos, Comstock Park, South Haven. We'd take 43 from Kalamazoo to South Haven when they loaded us that way, for Holland we'd go to Plainwell and catch 89 over to 40, always liked the Muskegon/Ludington run, the people were nice and the stores had truck parking. Never made the Cadillac/Traverse City/Petosky run. Did get to Alpena once. That's a long drag back down to much of anything from there. No one liked going to the store in Taylor, MI, the manager was a real, uh, the word would likely get me poofed, but I think you get it. I don't think I saw any of her crew last more than 2 weeks.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
