I observed if you cut a slit in the foil under the cap of a new jug of windshield washer fluid you can spray a nice little stream onto you side-view mirrors and remove that 1/4 inch of ice that's refuses melt off when you park it in the sun for that very reason. It helps when the jug is store shelf temperature when its only 15 degrees outside, keeps your hands warm too.
