In Michigan I would 100% disagree with you. The group Michigan Open Carry has gone to great lengths to get legislation passed (think purchase permit changes, repeal of illegal local ordinances, etc etc) that is pro-gun for everybody not just the OC crowd. They are a collection of people that are united for a cause and as such they speak loudly for all pro-2A legislation. At the state level there is no other group that has as large of a voice as MOC.
When is the last time a bunch of CC permit holders got together to help draft legislation? Or lobby for some pro-2A laws?
