I'm gonna go with the faulty nozzle crowd. Around here, when the pressure is gone, the nozzle kicks out and won't turn on again until you release the lock and pull the trigger again.
I always put the nozzle in the tank before turning on the pump anyway so it wouldn't happen to me even if it were a faulty nozzle.
Those nozzles are a pain if we loose track of how much fuel we have on the farm and run the tank empty. Then we gotta fidle around to get the pump to prime again. With a non-automatic nozzle, it'd push the air out no problems and pull a prime again.
