Husband ended up removing the valve tappet guides from the Regular engine block...
He found it interesting that the guides have holes in them (assuming to release pressure and residual moisture). Supposing the ones in the F20 block are identical - but he never removed the guides on that engine.
Also found a plug in one guide... assuming if it had been left in place, it would have caused a problem when he gets the old beast running.
