Hi,
I have a busted plastic gas tank ( don't know how bad as I haven't taken it off yet , but can see small crack at top of tank )on a Briggs and Stratton engine mounted on a pressure washer . the engine is a Quantum 60 XTL ( ? ) engine , app. a 5 hp engine . I plan on buying a cheap plastic welder from Harbor Freight to weld it back with . My question is - What kind of plastic is the tanks made out of ? Will the weld hold ( I know that it also depends on how good of a welder I am ) , if welded properly ? Anyone have any experience welding plastic ? Any tips or ideas ? Thank you for any and all help .
