Front loads went out when I was a kid. Bendix as I recall. Can't for the life of me believe that mfgrs have brought them back and people are stupid enough to pay twice the price of a quality top load to get to watch their clothes on TV.
Kinda like clothes. One day you have a neck tie the width of a shoe string. Next thing you know you can wrap up in the things.
Pants have cuffs and then no cuffs. Then bell bottoms and then bell bottoms with cuffs....ever trip over the BB cuffs on a stairwell and almost break your neck falling down.
Now the rage is black wheels. The black tire was first. Then the fat white wall. Then the 3/4" ww. Then the 1/4" ww. Then it turned red. Then it disappeared and rather than a dull magnesium wheel they came up with cast alum. Then cast alum with chrome skins. Now it's to hexx with color and you have black wheels and black tires or black wheels with chrome accents, or alum accents and black wheels. And to go with the black crap you have mud tires with cleats on the side on the front of a 2 wd road cruiser. But that's cool. Gotta be cool. Gotta go with the fad.
So now they are claiming that red fishing line is the fad. Cajun has been selling it for a couple of decades that I know of. Seems the Zebco reel co (daddy loved them back in the 1950's) bought out Cajun and their (Zebco) OEM reels are equipped with it. I know as I just bought 2 and both had red line on them. Says it disappears below 3'. Funny, most of my fishing is above 3'.
What happened to blue (Dupont) Stren. Clear, invisible at any depth, glowed in the sun so if you were a line watcher like I am you could see where your line was and whether or not you got a strike.
Sure glad I had a technical career (by choice). Would have been a real problem for me to be in the retail trade, especially in sales.
My 2c as usual, worth every penny you paid for it.
