Same thing is going on here in central Michigan (Owosso to Flint). Haven't fired up the generator yet because I have geothermal and it takes 12k watts to run my 3500 Honda aint going to cut it.
I have one fireplace stoked and two more to get started. Will worry about the lights when it starts to get dark.
