We had a water filtration system installed about 15 years ago when we built our house. This was designed to remove iron from our borehole well. We drilled a 98 feet deep hole near our house which offered a good quantity of water (think they said about 14000 gallon per day) but it was high in Iron. System has worked well over the years but on a recent water quality test we found very high levels of Manganese which this system isnt designed to remove so we were getting the system upgraded today with the addition of an ion-exchange unit using salt to take out the manganese. Got up early to make sure everything such as cupboard doors etc was removed to allow the engineer good access. We waited and waited but the guy never appeared, we rang his office to find our job had been re-prioritised, a local piggery was out of water and needed urgent repairs. Looking at this objectively I think its just as well he didnt come with Christmas on its way and all the food prep etc thats being done. Do you guys have lots of private water supplies needing their own filtration systems? Seems like the cost of these systems have come down a lot in price over the years comparatively speaking. Hope everyone has a nice festive holiday. Bill

As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
