No such thing as too many cordless drills, especially if they all use the same batteries. We have five scattered among house, barn, and shop. Not having to go out to the shop at night when it's snowing or when it's mud season makes up for having to keep all the things recharged. I've found it's a good idea to keep a good-quality socket wrench set in each of the places we park a drill, too.
Which raises the question of how many places do people keep sets of tools? Besides one in each car or truck (and in tractor tool boxes too), we have tool boxes in the shop, in the barn, in the basement, in the kitchen pantry, and on the 3rd floor ('cause sometimes I don't feel like going down two or three flights of stairs and back when some bit of plumbing or wiring upstairs needs tweaking).
