Its too hard to say what could be wrong. Had one dog do that when its stomach flipped. Had another dog, collie shephard, do that when its kidneys shut down. There are a lot of things that is symptoms of, none of them good, many of them curable. When my collie shephard's kidneys shut down, they gave hime a year to live tops. He lived five years very strong, until they really failed at the end. One of the best scrappers I ever had.
