rrlund, topics like this are always going to be emotional but with all due respect, you did add a bit of extra emotion to it by appearing to gloat that you were getting such a big discount. That will be read by others as they are paying for your discount. Presentation is everything.
I have a company with about a dozen employees that I pay 50% of their medical insurance coverage. It scares me that when I renew insurance later this year that I won't be able to help the employees as I have for many years. Worst case is I will just tell them they are on their own for insurance, I will take what I would normally pay, deduct the penalties I have to pay, and divvy out the rest to them with my best wishes. Of course, then I will be the bad guy and the gov. will be the hero for taking care of them.
