I am a Ford Parts Manager & I sell FL/ Filters for gas engine's for $5.50 over the counter all day long... At that price they are still cheaper at walmart, I can't even begin to compete with the Motorcraft against walmart & I don't try too. If a Ford Dealer buys Filers from a Motor/ craft Distibutor he getting them for $3.49 if he purchase's a gross at a time. Oil on the other hand case lotts & even at over 500 gallons at a time a 5 quart jug will cost me over 21.00.
Ford has bowed down to Walmart & even created special internal part numbers ending with a W & Only available to Walmart Inc.. A ford Dealer cannot purchase a train load & stay afloat. Since I know what Walmart pays by the train load, they make more on a filter they sell for 4.48 than make I off one selling it for 5.50.
