Yes he is type 1 and has been since he was 23mo old. He was 70 and a normal range for him is 100-120. It was a small problem of he wanted food so we pumped insulin for it and he didn't eat the food. WELL CRAP now we had to cover insulin and it didn't catch up in time. He is checked with a glucose meter and a constant glucose meter [CGM]. Prevention is easy eat first and pump later or only for what is ate. CGM checks every 5 min and shows a trend graph on if he is climbing,falling or maintaining. Type 1 doesn't slow him down one bit and his mother is on it like white on rice to keep his levels in check. His younger brother is also type 1 since he was 4 and now is 7. The 2 on the tractor is my oldest and the other is my youngest and quite the character.
