: Last night I was using my back blade on the 9N. I had extended the toplink to change the blade angle to dig in a bit. I noticed that the hydraulics would not raise all the way when the toplink was in this position. : I left the blade up for around a half hour while I pulled a fence with a chain hooked to the front bumper. : I noticed a rattling sound from behind the seat. I tried lowering the hydraulics and they stayed up. I disengaged the PTO and the rattle went away but the blade still stayed up. I turned off the tractor and the blade immediately lowered. I started the tractor again and everything worked fine. : Any ideas? Is it OK to leave the hydraulics up when the toplink is stopping the blade 2/3 of the way up? : Thanks! Sounds like the hydraulics are trying to pull the unit up higher than it can physically go. This should cause the bypass valve to open, preventing serious damage to anything. Unless, of course, the valve fails shut. It would probably be better to raise the unit almost to the point where it binds up. That is, if the hydraulic system is positional, and not just an all up or all down type. I'm unsure what kind of rockshaft controls that machine has...... : Jim
