Thing is that, at this point, a 3d printer can easily print certain objects, I'll agree with that 100%. The problem is we still can't 'print' computer boards, etc, at least not that I've heard about. Ultimately, even with the 'hard parts' without the proprietary softeware/knowledge/etc needed to put those hard parts together, the man power trained in manufacturing the various products, etc, etc the printed parts alone aren't going to do anyone any good.
In the end, with a sadly lacking manufacturing capability in many areas, the need for technology to do certain things when, said technology is owned by foreign companies (who might very well be the ones warring against us, the lack of labor with the advanced technology skills to build many of the needed items (could you see Rosie the riveter using a computer????), and on, and on, and on,....we're screwed.....Just like I said before .
