You're 100% right. Originally, the segment showed the second rock splashing into the water. Right after the announcer said "also starring Don Knotts,"the camera cut to a close-up of the lake surface andwe saw the rock splashing in. The announcer at this point continued, saying "...brought to you by...." and then a commercial for a General Foods product would air. The reason the rock splash is not shown anymore is because now that the show is in syndication, GF is no longer the sponsor. In the good old days, one sponsor would pay for the entire show, but nowadays, several different companies advertise during a 30-minute program.
I miss that show and it's wonderful, simpler, kinder way of life. Almost always a moral to the show...something the idiot tube isn't providing now-a-days.
