I have two Deeres, and neither do me much good on ice. Best thing to do is keep them locked away in the barn, and you and the family tucked away in the house. Get your chores, feedings done early.
And if you have to go out, stay away from grades that slope away from the house, otherwise next family get together when people ask, "Hey, where's J?", the family will be saying, "Oh the last time we saw him was back in January when he went skating down that way over there towards the ocean". Don't want that. Could be exciting, but sometimes exciting can be over rated.
