I've got a 4s, can't tell about speed but I'm lucky to get a signal here . Most of the time if I'm lucky I get 4g with 1-3 dots at the most. Caution about joining WiFi, SWMBO & I did that at a place we were staying, with in 3 hours starting getting calls from all over the US. I don't answer if I don't recognize the caller. Never got a voice mail. Googled the location of the calls, prisons in all of the towns they came from. Some how the WiFi was hacked and the info spread. The calls are the latest prison scam for them to use your phone acct to make calls and bill them to you.
