For the cattle I just love the Cobett waterer, uses no electricity. Probably have to go right now and knock the skin of ice loose, then it will be good for another 24 hours for the cattle. If they would come drink every 2 hours it wouldn't skin over, even at minus 16 F like this morning, but this is pretty extreme. The valve never freezes over as it is at the bottom, and it uses an insulated pipe 8 feet deep to allow earth heat to keep the bowl of water liquid.
