Honestly it looks pretty risky for the horses. If it's ice on the road, well we slip and fall and break bones just walking on ice sometimes, I'd assume horses would too. Just snow is probably ok. Hooked together like that and trying to pull would seem worse than just walking. I'd hate to have a horse of mine break a leg or get hurt--I bet their vet bills are as bad as our medical bills.
What's the thinking on this from someone who knows horses and draft horse use in particular?
