First off, go out and buy a really comfortable LaZBoy. You'll be living in it for three or four weeks. Get one that reclines as flat as you can get. They did my shoulder about three years ago. It takes about a year to really heal right, and you can count on doing very little for at least three months. I had mine done in early January, and was able to do most of my own work come spring, but is was still a good six months before I did any heavier lifting, and a year before I could really do everything I needed to do.
