Bout 3 years ago, some kid (17 or 18) that had been sent to live with his grandmother to "get away from his problems" killed a 14 yr old girl and burned and buried her by the cemetary near here. Couple days later the guy who was living here at the time had a scanner and heard that the police were working there when the car horn started beeping. He jumped for the 12 gauge, she grabbed the kid and went for the bedroom, got the door shut and realized their daughter had gotten a hold of the car remote.
It was pretty funny when he told me about it the next morning.
