The house my parents bought when they left the farm had the same problem. I sanded the crayon and used Montgomery Ward's best paint this was in the 1950's. My nephew inherited the home when my sister died in 2008. None of the paint pealed. My nephew turn down $500000.00 for the house. The land is worth more than the house being in a commercial area.
