Set a live trap and catch a woods cat. put it in a cage in the pole shed and feed and water it for a week. Stop feeding it for 2 days and then set a dish of food and water out side the cage and open the door and you get the H out of the shed. The cat will eat the food and then start on the mice. Every day give it just a little food and he will stay around and keep your mouse problem under control. Never ever try to tame it. If you do you will have a garbage cat like you have now. I have 2 of them at my house and no mice and when I go out side and they see me they run away. Best mouser is a wild one.
