You want a suicide bucket trap, I use a 5 gallon bucket with a small rod crossing the top, and an empty peanut butter jar is impaled on the rod so it can spin, centered over the bucket. Small notches cut in the top of the bucket to secure the rod. Coat the outside of your little spinning drum with peanut butter and put a little board from the ground to the edge of the bucket, and some water or waste oil in the bottom. Mouse walks up the board, jumps over to the pb drum, it spins and he falls in. One less mouse. Virtually maintainance free, no threat to pets. I have had one running for years now, it's a mouse destroying machine. Search mouse bucket trap on You-Tube.
