My own little bit of input on this would be to look at your main service panel. The main breakers should tell you what you need. As an example, if you have a two gang 50 amp breaker as your main, that would indicate that you have 100 amp service. Shouldn't need a generator that is larger than your service.
Just another note.... Not to start a pi$$ing contest about quality/reliability, etc. Honda, Subaru, etc may well be good and reliable machines, I still think it is a bad idea to send major money out of the country. Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Hyundai, et al are DESTROYING our national economy by taking away our jobs and manufacturing capacity. Our ability to defend our country is at risk as well.
